should teens have expencive things?
i am 13 and i have some really nice things like a pandora bracelet, kathy van zeeland purse and a vera bradley pures. Other things like an ipod touch and some other pricey things. Once i basicly got called a baby and said i was to young to have those things. Do u think that is right?
well i am not a soiled brat and i get my things for holidays and birthdays and mature and so not one of those girls who go around brags about them selves all day long

honestly, when parents over indulge their children in expensive, unnecessary products and merchandise, they arent helping their children learn the value of the dollar. Although i dont agree with giving a child everything they ask for, i also dont believe its right to deprive a child of all nice things. I believe that parents should follow the Middle Way, finding a balance between indulgence and control.
Also, when you are old enough, and your parents dont supply everything for you, you will learn the hard way how hard it is to make a sucessful living, without getting behind in debt and everything. Your parents should be at least somewhat preparing you for the real world, because as depressing as it is, we’ll all have to live in it someday.
